Job Description & Requirements

General Purpose:

Calculate, adjust and process sales commissions for approximately 500 commissioned drivers under the Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) Dairy Brands affiliates.  Perform accounting and auditing of all commission reports generated by the Dairy Management System and route settlement clerks.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the administration of all aspects of sales commission plans for the company
  • Maintain commission database, including all entry and maintenance of data
  • Perform complex analysis of commission issues and develop potential solutions
  • Partner with Sales and Payroll teams to process commission payments accurately and timely
  • Build strong internal and external business relationships with locations
  • Provide proper explanations to questions from Sales management and other stakeholders
  • Process pay corrections and adjustments as needed
  • Develop recommendations to further automate and improve the commission process
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues in a positive manner

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associates degree or college coursework preferred
  • Relevant work experience may be substituted or combined with education
  • 3 – 5 years of experience processing sales commissions
  • Experience working in high volume, fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Microsoft Office applications proficiency, including Excel pivot tables, complex formulas and functions
  • Experience in a shared services model preferred
  • Certification and/or License – N/A

  • Strong, effective and tactful communication skills with all levels of the organization
  • Able to take initiative and set priorities with minimal direct supervision
  • Able to be flexible, prioritize and manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines
  • Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles
  • Skilled in problem-solving, conceptual thinking, interpersonal communication, and customer service
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
